She Filled Me with Strength
Hi my name is Caroline and I got pregnant at the age of 14. I could not believe it when I did the pregnancy test - nothing felt real. I really did not know what to do. I did not have a great relationship with my mum and the father was long gone so I spoke to my sister who was very supportive.
I went through the usual options and decided to keep my baby. At 15 I had a beautiful baby girl. it was very difficult being a mum when I was only a child and I had alot of issues going on at the time. My mum looked after my daughter for about a month because I felt I was not good enough but being without her depressed me so I got my daughter and we moved into a bed and breakfast. Well I made mistakes along the way and you learn very quickly to grow up and become responsible.
I wish there was alot more help out there for me I felt so alone at times. But when I was at my lowest I would gaze into her eyes and it filled me with strength. She kept me going because she needed me. I am now 34 and my daughter is nearly 19 we have a wonderful relationship and she has brought me so much joy. She is in her 3rd year at college studying performing arts and I am a full time carer, which she helps me with. I am so proud of her and she praises me for boing such a good job and loves the fact that im a young mum.
I'm so glad I chose to keep my baby. I think that if you are going to be a young mum then the first thing is to accept its not going to be easy and secondly accept any help you can get. I'm 14 and i think I'm pregnant. I'll be 15 in 2 months. My boyfriend told his family about me being pregnant but i haven't told my family yet because I'm scared. I haven't had my period for about 3 months already and I'm planning to go to a clinic soon. My boyfriend already told me that he's going to be there for me whenever and that he's excited about the baby. We've been going out for 18 months and he means a lot to me. How can i tell my parents that I'm pregnant? especially that i am only 14! they are going to be so mad and disappointed in me. AND what if they wanted to sue my boyfriend or something? i don't want him being harmed in any way. Im so scared right now.

I'm in the same situation. I turn 14 in August and I went on vaca with my boyfriend (who i've been together with for about 2 months now) earlier this month, we didn't have sex, but we believe somehow I might be pregnant, through one of our little adventures we had during the trip. It's now about 3-4 weeks later and i still haven't gotten my period. My boyfriend says that I need to take a test but i tell him there's no way how I can. I can't drive, I don't have any money and what would people think when they saw me walking through the halls of a store carrying a pregnancy test to the check out line? I have no clue what the hell I'm supposed to do. Wait it out till I go see my doctor in about a month and a half? Or am i supposed to tell my parents now and have my mom get the pregnancy test for me?
If I am pregnant, I am not having an abortion, I am giving it up for adoption. There's no way in hell how me and my boyfriend could care for a baby at our age.

i am 14.. i might be pregnant i have missed a period, me and my boyfriend are really strong we have been through everything together we have been together nealy a year now and i cant live my life with out him he means the world to me and he said he will stand by my side through every step of the way, but the onlt thing i am worried about is if i am how willi tell my parents im scared that my parents wont want anything to do with me. if i am pregnant i will be keeping the baby there is no way i would get rid of it.

I also got pregnant at age 14, me and my boyfriend have been together for 2 1/2 years before we had my three month old daughter. I didnt tell my parents until I was 4 Months pregnant. My dad and his family was by my side the whole time, my mom took it really hard, but now loves her first granddaugher. My boyfriend loves our little girl and sees her every weekend. It is very hard to be a teen mother, trying to go to school, and watching a baby. I encouge people to continue going to school.

im 14, and might be pregnant, my boyfriend whos 16 says whaever happens hes there for me and we have plans for the future. only thing is im really scared i missed my period.
but a test i took a week ago said negative but im still having pregnancy signs. i cant talk to my parents about this because they would hate me if i told them, and my dad would probably stop me from seeing my boyfriend, i couldnt do this without my boyfriend though because i love him soo much and we are kinda engaged.
i wouldnt want an abortion though, im really scared can somebody please help?? xx

well im 14 and i think im pregnant ive missed my period for 8 days and im scared.. and on top of all that my boyfriend ive been with for almost two years.. well we broke up for about 3 months and he started dating this other girl and they broke up and now we are back together and turns out her got her pregnant. so he has one baby on the way it would be horrible for me to be pregnant too.. im so scared.. i dont even know where to begin to see if i am pregnant i took a pregnancy test 2 days ago and it said neg. but i dont know.. help?

hey im shelbie and im 14 im glad that im not the only one out there too,
me and my bf have been togehter for a while now and im a little worried and scared that i may be pregant i have not come on to my period yet i am 5days late, im also worried what my family would think.
me and my bf have spoken about this and what we both would want if i was pregant he said he would stick by my side though what ever choice we choose, the only thing im worried about is whatmy family may think my sister was also a young mother too and her little boy is adorablee.

I admire your courage. I myself doubt that I`ll ever be so brave. I dont nearly have half the courage that you had and still have. You gave "being a mom" a new name. I wish all young girls would follow your example.

it is good that you decided to keep your baby at an early age. i have this friend that got preg. at 14 to but she aborted. now shes almost 18 and she regrets the entire thing she never stops thinking bout that baby and how it would look. it sounds like you and your daughter have a good relationship. i think thats the best thing between a mother and a child.
