Hi Becky and Lisa -- My name is Alaryca and I'm 16...a little over a month ago I found out I was pregnant. Of course being so young you can imagine the feelings running through my head, and still to this very moment. I thought my life was over and I had no idea what I should do...AT ALL. Well just a few months ago my best friend had an abortion, and to tell you the truth I judged her for it. I never stopped being her friend I just thought it was so wrong to actually kill a living soul inside of you. I always said, "If someone is going to do it, then they should atleast accept the responsibility". And here I am with my big mouth..pregnant myself.

So, I get myself into the same situation and I considered abortion..not just considered it but wanted to do it. I feel horrible just admitting it. It's so weird because it seemed like there were all kinds of signs too, telling me it wasn't right..I even had dreams about it. {mospullquote text=Everything does happen for a reason, right?;; person=Alaryca;; align=right;; type=quote;;}But I tried not to let it get to me. All I wanted to do was have fun, party every weekend, go to big concerts...you know live the high school life, and then go to college. I talked to my best friend about it and she said no way she thought I should go through with it. She told me she thinks about her baby every single day and she would never wish that pain on anyone.

Well it comes to find out that things aren't that bad. Everything does happen for a reason, right? My boyfriend and I told my mom, I was completely scared thinking she would hit me or something. But she just kind of choked for a second! She handled it very good and told me she would support me throughout this. That made me feel so much better. Everyone has been amazing so far, and I'm looking forward to my baby getting here. I loved my first Doctors appointment, seeing my little baby on the screen. It was so touching. I can't wait to go back! But your website is what has really helped me. I have read all the stories, and they help me a lot. I'm so grateful to have come across that..it's so good for you to encourage girls like this, it really is appreciated. The reason I wrote you is to see if maybe you could just give me any information that could help me through my pregnancy. My mom is a Nurse Practitioner and also delivered babies for 7 years, so she gives me great advice. I just thought it would be good to hear from other people who have experienced the same thing..anything at all...I would love to find out helpful points, especially on how to do things once the baby arrives. I know you can't tell me everything since every situation is different..I'm just kind of scared on how to cope with things once I'm living with my boyfriend and a baby at such a young age.

Thank you so much!!
