I don't know what to do. I'm afraid that if I am my parents will send me to live with my grandma! I'm not worried about my boyfriend leaving me because I know that he is too caring to leave me. We discussed everything before we even kissed. The thing I'm worried about is how to tell my parents and how long am I supposed to wait before I can actually test to see if I am pregnant?

Post edited by: kisstheflame, at: 2005/11/01 04:31

Well, first off are you gonna keep the baby? and if so, you need to take a test to find out if your rele pregnant. Im 16 and got pregnant at 15. (lost the baby) and I thought my mom wud kill me but she supported me. why dont you want to live with ur grandma? maybe ur boyfriend can move with you.

I was 15 when I had my son, and now I am 26. Please don't take this the wrong way but you are worried about the wrong things right now. From your post you sound a little immature by saying that you and your boyfriends talked about sex or whatever before you \"kissed\" You make it seem like you and him have made plans like your both adults. What you should be thinking about is can I financialy support a baby, or are you going to have depend on your parents, are you going to stay in school? If you are pregnant your whole life is about to change in ways you can't even think of right now. I don't want to sound like I am preaching, but if I had to do it again I would have waited to have my son.

telling your parents is a scary thing. definately take the test first, and then just tell them, like ripping off a bandaid (corny as it may sound) the sooner you break the news the better. I thought that my parents ( and his) would be a lot more upset than they really were. But they were disappointed in us, and it was hard to get through that. Eventually they were excited for us, and now they love being grandparents! My daughter is three now, and I have two other children, too. I know it's scary, and in a way, so is being a parent. It's one of those \"one-day-at-a-time\" things.
Never forget that you're not alone, even if it feels like it sometimes.

Take a test, and then tell your parents, it is important that they know. I found out i was pregnant when i was 14, I've just had my baby, 2months ago, and i went through the whole pregnancy without telling my parents. Now I regret not telling them, because of all the support they could have gave me. Being a teen mum is not as hard as some people make it sound, if u have support, and the best support you can get is from ure family. I'm now getting ready to go back to school again, all thanks to my parents. So do a test and tell them the GOOD NEWS, you never might know, they might be excited to be grandparents

kisstheflame, you can take a test four days before your period is actually due tho you have a better chance of getting a more accurate result if you wait until the day you are due to start your monthly or a day or two after.

Have you actually missed your period yet? You may be panicking over nothing.

If your monthly doesnt arrive take the test using first morning urine if you can. Its easier if you pee into a jar. Make sure you read the instructions throughly before dipping the stick.

If it turns out you're not pregnant then you must get your birth control sorted to save another scare and to protect from disease.

Good luck!

~ Kelly, how on earth did you manage to keep your pregnancy a secret for the whole nine months? You must have been so scared. ((hugs))
