Hi, I'm new to these forums; I came across this site whilst looking for early pregnancy symptoms and I thought it would be the best place to turn to.
I had unprotected sex on the 14th and 15th of February, me and my boyfriend use the pull out technique and I am not on the pill, and we don't use condoms as my boyfriend loses sensitivity with them. For the last 3 months my period has started on the 25th of the month, it is now the 28th and I am 3 days overdue. Last week I had all the symptoms of PMT, feeling hot and getting mild cramps and feeling irritable, but they have eased off, although I still have cramping and I feel bloated and like I am about to start my period any minute. I haven't been sick but I have had diarrhea the past couple of days. I can't afford a pregnancy test and I don't know what to do. Could you please offer me some advice? I have moved home in the last month so I am not ruling out stress for holding off my period just yet, I just feel strange as there is no blood yet I have all the symptoms of PMT, but then I heard early pregnancy symptoms are similar

yes you are quite right those are early preg signs.
i thought my period was coming- and it never showed up!

however there could be a chance you pregnant - or it could be that
you just having a late period-
sometimes our bodys play trickd on us...
if you dont get a period within the next week pls try make a plan to
get a test,
they not expensive and some clinics offer them free.

its better to know than to sit and stress about it-
the pull out method is not always 100% effective-
sperm can be ejaculated- or precum with always happens contains
sperm to - which can result in pregnancy.

all you can do is wait to see if it comes or get a test sorry hunny

good luck and let us know what happened

Hey there sweety and welcome
Yr right about pms and preggy symptoms are similar but the only way to be 100% sure is if your period shows up or if you get two little pink lines on an hpt.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Hugs, Evangeline.

Hi,
I'm sorry your not feeling well, but you are correct. Sometimes symptoms of a period will resemble prenatal symptoms. Especially if you're late.

At this point...since you've moved back home, I would advise talking to your parents and clearing the air with them. Tell them what is happening and confide in them that you're scared and need help. Begin there....If your parents are relatively aware of your life, they may already have an idea of what has been going on. Be mature about what has happened and take the responsibility of your actions by going to them for help. You shouldn't have to lurk behind them trying to handle this on your own. You will feel less worried once they are involved and you will have the resources you need to get to a doctor to get a blood test done. They are the most accurate. If you are pregnant...you will need to be seen by one very soon for prenatal care, so telling your parents now and letting them help you in the early stages of this will only lighten the pressure on you. (although you may feel like that is a scary thing....parents do want to help their children.)

Think about how you're feeling with the possibility of being pregnant....Is that good news for you? Is this what your boyfriend wants? Are you wondering whether to keep the baby or offer it up for adoption?? These are real issues that may need to be discussed. You can certainly go get a pregnancy test and never tell your parents...and if it's negative they will never know the difference. Does life go on as it has been? Taking chances with unprotected sex with your boyfriend and hoping you don't?? If you're not pregnant.....you can take that opportunity to take control of your life and stop risking an unplanned pregnancy. Think about your life now and and make more mature decisions so that you will not be in this situation again.

If you ARE pregnant....then please consider telling your parents. You can't do this alone without a support group. They will get you to a doctor and hopefully support you in keeping your baby.

God bless,
myangelsinheaven

Everyone has had wonderful advice so far so I do not have too much more to add, I did want to let you know about a helpful number though, 1-800-395-HELP, it is a place called Optionline, they will give you the name and number of the closest Pregnancy Resource Center to you where you can get a FREE and CONFIDENTIAL test and they are there to help you with any decision making depending on the results...Love Meg

Thanks for all your advice, I really appreciate it as I feel I have no one else to turn to.
I told my mum and she just got angry that we didn't use protection, and told me to wait another week to see if my period is just late.
I love my boyfriend, I have been with him for 5 years in May, (we are both in our early 20s) but he is still studying and lives with his parents, and has no money, and I am looking for a job currently but I am in alot of debt, and I don't know how we are going to cope. If I am pregnant, I will keep the baby, but I don't know how he will feel, I had a scare a few months back and he took it really badly; he's kind of old fashioned and wants us to have a stable home and jobs before starting a family.
I still haven't had my period yet, and its 6 days overdue now, I got really bad cramps this afternoon and I was convinced it was my period, but theres still no blood.
