Hi my name is Gisselle I am 19 years old and I have been with my boyfriend for a year now and since we have been together we have had unprotected sex and we live together so we have sex everyday about 3 times a day well anyways he usually pulls out but sometimes he doesn't. what I was wondering is if I could be pregnant even though I got my period? I took a PT because my period was late and it came out negative it was the test that u can take up to 5 days before a missed period so I took one then my period was a week late so I took another test same one and it was also negative then about 2 days later I got my period. my boyfrind thinks im pregnant even though I got my period because my stomach is pretty big I am a skinny girl. so.... I just wanna know could a women be pregnant even though she got her period and took 2 PT and were both negative?? I feel like I have some symtoms but maybe its all in my head I dont know... any advice would be great thanks alot....

the same thing happened to me for 2 months in a row after i started having sex with my fiance. basically my period would end up being about 4 days late every month. and then i would test before getting my period and it'd always turn out negative [and like the next day i'd get my period]. i would really just start to get concerned when you're almost 2 weeks late. this is the time when most pregnancy tests can detect hormones with a good amount of accuracy.

if your period comes it's usually as a result of your egg not getting fertilized. the uterus no longer needs the lining that is built up throughout the month and so it ends up expelling that along with blood. so if no fertilization occurs.... and no implantation occurs... then you're not pregnant.


however if you still feel uncertain about whether you're pregnant or not my suggestion would be to visit a doctor and get tested there.
