I foudnt this poem I wrote in April 2007, eight months after the termination. It's funny how you never forget. Just thought I'd share it

Everything

i sat in bed and waited
for the pain to begin
i sat and waited
for the end

"it will only hurt a little"
they said
"i will love you forever"
he said

i sat in bed and waited
for a flow of red
i sat and waited
for it all to end

"it will be over before you know it"
they said
"you're doing the right thing"
he said

i sat in bed and waited
for life to flush away
i sat and waited
for the end

"its so simple"
they said
"ill be there afterwards"
he said

i sat in bed and waited
for the pain to go away
i just cant take it
it all needs to end

"im goin to die"
i said
"how could you do this"
my mother said

i sat in bed and waited
for life to end
the pain is too strong
make it all end

"why is everything so dirty"
they complained
"because death doesnt come easily"
i said

i sat in bed and waited
for love to end
i sat and saw
hope end

"its all done"
i said
"i dont know what to say"
is all he said

i sat in bed and waited

Hi there, thank you so much for sharing something so personal, I know that it must've taken so much strength to bare your soul like this... it's so sad, especially when you're able to relate to it on a personal level.
