I had my son when i was 17, and tried out the depo shot. I only had one dose and didn't go get another because of the horrible symptoms. One shot of depo is suppose to last for 3 months, so the doctor says. But if you ask the hundreds of women that regret the depo shot they will tell you Not to get "the shot". Depo is responsible for infertility in many of the women who chose the shot for birth control. Some womens' fertility returns faster than others but the hormones from the shot can be in your system for upon to 2 years! It stops you from producing eggs. The doctor didn't tell me any of this, so ask questions and whatever you do dont take the depo shot.
