So I may be pregnant, I'm going to pee on the stick in the morning, and if I don't get my period by my next period date pee on another stick. Because i could be too early too test, though I have missed a period. I also got off my birth control because it made me have a brown discharge that ruined all my undies ( yuk ) Ever since then I haven't had a period. So i got back on Birth control last week, so when those pills are up I should get a period again, if I do. Anyways, I'm 15, I turn 16 in June. I'm not scared about having a baby, I know I could do it somehow. Well maybe thats a lie, If I seen a + on that test my first thoughts would probably be scared, but abortion is no question. I live away from home with my dad, my mom and brothers live in another town. I've been with my boyfriend for over a year now, ever since I moved here. We knew each other as children way back when. My mom from what I hear is having troubles making ends meet, her boyfriend is a lazy bum and she works and supports him and 4 kids, she is the only one too bills equal too about 2000$. Her boyfriends nephew, my brother,and my other brother his girlfriend too. ( though my other brother and his girlfriend pay for their groceries most of the time, but nothing else to help out.)) and he is 19 !!! ) I feel bad. ANYWAYS, enough about that lets skip too the point. I have a job and would continue to work as long as I could, but I don't know if I would have enough money too support my baby forever, I would start saving up if I were. My dad might even send me back if I was. I know its costly for a baby, but is there anyone else who are doing just fine right now, with their mom in kinda the same situation ?

another thing, when i was younger I lied and said I was pregnant for attention from my mom, she told my whole family and we had a meeting, kids at school found out and everyone thought I was. Point is, my whole family said too abort. Of course I was only 13, I was still a virgin haha, my plan didn't turn out as well as i wanted.

I don't know if they would all be okay with me keeping my baby. They can try to get me to all they want but thats what I want too do when I am 19 or 20 anyways. I've read stories where girls juggle school and being a mom and some even work, is it okay for you girls that are doing that or did ?

Well, I'm still pregnant, so I can't say much about managing, but I think maybe you should get in touch with your Community Welfare Office? (That's what it's called in Ireland, anyway). You should be entitled to all sorts of things. Here, pregnant girls get a grant of a couple of hundred to get them started before the baby's born for clothes, pram, cot, etc. After that of course there's child benefit, and there's something here too called Lone Parents' Benefit. Because my boyfriend and I aren't married, I'm entitled to that. There's something called a Rent Allowance too, where a certain percentage of your rent is paid by the Community Welfare.
I don't know how much of that applies to you, but you should definitly check it out. One thing to remember about benefits and that, is to ask about EVERYTHING. Don't wait for them to tell you, because they will leave things out.

As for your family... The whole thing when you were 13 won't exactly help towards the situation, but in the end, it's your life and your baby. Abortion isn't an option for you as you said (and I congratulate you on being so brave with regards to that), so either way you're having a baby. They'll have to deal with it, but they are your family and I'm sure they will come around. Maybe your Mom might even be excited about being a grandparent I wouldn't tell them right away, if you are though. Maybe wait until the 3 month mark and you're kinda sure everything's healthy, y'know?


Last but not least... I STRONGLY reccomend that you stop the birth control right now until you know wether or not you're pregnant. It can do a lot of damage to your baby of you keep taking it, so lay off it until at least 2 more tests and consider not having sex at least 'till your sure. It's much better to be safe than sorry where your child might be concerned

Secondly IF YOU THINK YOU ARE PREGNANT PLEASE DO NOT TAKE BRITH CONTROL!!!! go to your family doctor asap and ask to get bloodwork done to test for pregnancy its confidential and the test is like 99.999999999999% accurate!!!

I agree with the girls above, do not take birth control pills when you think you could be pregnant, also have you considered abstinence to prevent pregnancy rather than pills that can fail?? Just a thought, let us all know what happens...Meg

thanks a lot, i'm not really worried anymore, i know things will work out. My mom is even making more money now and back on track so I hear. Good idea on waiting till i'm 3 months. Then I don't really have to deal with the stress either of hearing them telling me to abort. I stopped my pills, I was only on the first week, I took a test and it was negative. Yet, I have this really strong feeling inside telling me I am. My irritability hasn't gone down one bit either haha. I've been researching and some women don't find out they are pregnant until 8 weeks because the doctor trys a ultrasound and sure enough theres a baby growing. I've heard of that feeling you get when you " just know " you are. I stopped my birth control in january and have not had a period since. Well I will wait until the end of the month. Wish me luck.
