hey girls...

okay, im 5 months preg and im starting to notice something strange...

every morning when i wake up and plan to get out of bed, when i try to move my legs i get this terrible MUSCLE pain at he bottom of my belly,it feels like the muscle pull that u get before ur period (and we all know that thats not the case), i mean this pain KILLS me and it hurts even worse when i take my legs off the bed BUT once im up and walking... the pain vanishes and im back to normal...until the next morning ofcourse..
it kinda freaks me out, is this normal?? has anyone ever felt this before? i hope ive explained it well enough... moms out there some advise and help would be real swell coz im slowly starting to freak out here!

Hi,
It's possible that you haev a condition called symphysis pubis dysfunction. When you are preganat the ligaments that hold your pelvic bones together begin to loosen a little ready for birth, for some people they loosen a little too much and can cause pain like you are describing. when you get out of bed roll on to your side and swing your legs out with your kneed together. Try to sit with your knees together etc. Talk to your care provider because if this is the cause it can also be treated with physiotherapy and support belts can help.

hun i had that same thing for what seemed like forever w my daughter i thought i was dying i was put in the hospital for 3 days to find it was ligament pain...just ligaments and muscle around the uterus stretching to accomodate that growing baby. ask ur dr their should be some pain meds u can take for it. i promise it will get better! good luck

i never had this but possibly could you rub your belly before you move up
